Moravske Branice - Oslavany Track Speed Increase

The bachelor's thesis deals with the increase of a track speed in the section Moravske Branice – Oslavany. The thesis attempts to obtain a speed increase by modifying the existing geometric parameters of the track in the scope of the regular maintenance, in some cases even more thorough, yet still not that costly. The assessment of geometric parameters of the track is done according to the standard CSN 73 6360-1. It is also assessed whether the individual railway crossings meet the conditions for the track speed increase. Part of the thesis is also the design of speed for vehicles with a permitted cant deficiency of 130 mm.

Part of the thesis is a renewal of railway superstructure and substructure that are must meet the requirements according to current standards and regulations, establishments of drainage, technological workflow proposal and bill of quantities. The Bachelor thesis is also devoted to geometric parameters of the track.

The bachelor's thesis is focused on possible connection of the current railway siding at BVV to the planned parking terminal Brno-Jih which will be a part of the new Railway Junction Brno. A particular criterion set by the contracting authority was to assess the possibility of connecting the siding via a new bridge across the Svratka river.
